Thames team put their best feet forward for children’s hospice

An eight-strong team from investment management and stockbroking firm Redmayne-Bentley is set to cross 16 bridges in support of Demelza Hospice Care for Children.
Anita Evans, Geoff Pluck, Tammy Wright, Ian Persad, Neil Craze, Emma Whitlock, Louise Stockwell and Beverly Kent, all from the firm’s branch in Locksbottom, Orpington, are undertaking the London Bridges Trek along the River Thames on Saturday (10th September). The team will be praying for good weather as they walk the 25k challenge from Fulham to Southwark, with a total fundraising target of £1000.
Anita Evans, Investment Support Executive, explained: “The Locksbottom office of Redmayne-Bentley is supporting Demelza as its charity of the year for 2016 and therefore we have decided to take on this challenge to raise additional vital funds.

The group Anita added: “We're ready and raring to go. We've got our walking boots ready and we're praying for a dry, but not too sunny, day! It's amazing how much support we've had and how much we've managed to raise thus far...thank you so much to everyone. I'm hoping to visit the hospice later this year and see how your donations really do make a difference to these children's and families lives!”
Demelza Hospice provides specialist care and support to children and young people, and their families, who have life-threatening or life-limiting conditions. Their hospices, in Kent and South-East London, offer leisure facilities and activities for their families including short-term respite residential care.
