We are looking for one or two computer science placement students to join us from Summer 2018 to Summer 2019 to help develop and support our in-house applications.
You would come on board as a member of the development and support teams; assisting in the full software development lifecycle, including:
- Development of in-house software and utilities
- Software testing
- Documentation
- Supporting the help desk
- Maintenance of our own systems
- System administration responsibilities
- Investigation of software and hardware products
Experience of the software development lifecycle would be useful as well as knowledge of at least one programming language and Linux.
As a member of a small team, you would have a valuable role within the firm, doing a real job, so we are looking for someone who is talented, adaptable and keen to learn.
It is a role which will offer you a wealth of experience in an exciting industry, will help you develop your skills and will stand you in excellent stead for your future employment prospects. In fact, we are keen to employ students who would be interested in returning to Redmayne Bentley once they have graduated.
As an important member of the programming and support team, you will receive guidance and assistance in your work from the other programming and support staff.
We are looking for second-year students, with a good academic track record, who are on course for a 2:1 or above.
