Investment Placement Student

We are excited to share Redmayne Bentley are currently seeking two undergraduate sandwich course students to join our Investment Management team on 12-month work experience placements at our head office in Leeds, starting 11th July 2022.

What you will be doing
Our Investment Managers are responsible for creating, advising and managing individually tailored portfolios designed to achieve our client’s investment objectives and goals. Therefore, as an Investment placement student, you will support and assist the investments team with general office administration, preparing and collating letters, client packs, valuations and invoices. Providing clients and/or their agents with information and reports about their portfolios, as well as assisting with general client enquiries.

You will be responsible for writing and producing charts for our publications. This will help develop your knowledge and understanding of financial markets.

You will have a keen eye for detail, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to build relationships with our clients to deliver an exceptional service. You will be a team player, with an enthusiasm and willingness to help others.

What you will gain
We want to provide our student placements with excellent, industry relevant experience to kickstart their careers, which is why we invest in our student placements. Over the course of your placement at Redmayne Bentley, you will be expected to pass all three modules of the CISI Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma entitled UK Regulation & Professional Integrity.

This exam will be paid for by the firm and will give you a valuable understanding of the regulations and legislation that underpin financial markets. The year you spend with us will provide you with the foundations to make a real mark within the finance industry.

Applicants should be studying for a related degree and have previous experience of working within a team. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and general technological confidence is also a must. Academic qualification requirements are 3 A Levels at grade A-C and 5 GCSEs including Maths and English at grades A-C or equivalent.
