Performance and Risk Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Performance and Risk Manager to join our team based in our Leeds head office.  Our office is in the heart of the city centre financial district, and only a few minutes’ walk from Leeds Station.

About the Team

The Investment Management team is responsible for handling the day-to-day management of advisory and discretionary portfolios and dealing with advisers as well as developing, overseeing and contributing to the execution of the Portfolio Risk Monitoring Plan.

What you will be doing

Utilising your expertise and knowledge when acting as subject matter expert on all key Portfolio Risk metrics and practices, including performance, benchmark and statistical data. You will be the primary contact for Investment Managers for ad hoc and non-standard/complex queries relating to Portfolio Risk. Working with the Director of Investment Management to design and develop Portfolio Risk policies and procedures and Portfolio Risk monitoring tools.

What you will bring to the team

A keen eye for detail along with excellent written and verbal communication skills, outgoing and friendly with a focus on providing outstanding client care. A detailed knowledge of financial instruments e.g. equities, bonds, derivatives. You will hold an appropriate RDR compliant qualification relating to securities such as the CISI level 4 Investment Advice Diploma or equivalent.  However, it is your experience of monitoring asset allocation and investment selection that we need, and we will consider applicants who need to take another paper or gap fill to become RDR qualified.
