Marketing Executive

The Marketing Department is seeking an enthusiastic, and highly organised Marketing Executive to join the team at Leeds head office.

Main duties and responsibilities
  • Copywriting and providing creative input into adverts, client literature, the website, promotional items and presentations.
  • Liaising with external creative agencies, printers and mailing houses to produce communication pieces such as direct mail (on & offline), adverts and literature.
  • Providing general marketing and PR support to offices and staff.
  • Assisting with creating and coordinating financial promotions, and ensuring that these are compliant with FCA rules.
  • Dealing with general enquiries and requests from offices, clients, prospects and other audiences.
  • Managing a range of marketing campaigns e.g. for new and existing services, seminars and events to both external (clients, prospects and intermediaries) and internal audiences.
Desirable skills and experience
  • Minimum three years in a marketing role with good knowledge of financial promotions regulation.
  • Reliable and able to work unsupervised with the ability to work on, and progress, multiple projects at one time, prioritising, managing and working to meet (often short) deadlines.
  • A team player with a willingness to contribute to the wider team without neglecting own responsibilities and workload/deadlines.
  • Flexible, willing to travel and work out of normal working hours on occasion, as required.
  • Keen to learn the firm’s business and the financial services industry, while taking responsibility to continually develop their own marketing knowledge and expertise.
  • Confident in working with staff at all levels.
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Office Applications: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent English Language skills (written and spoken) able to produce engaging, high-quality content and experience proof reading and copy editing.
Desirable qualifications
  • Educated to A-level standard including English Language A Level C+ (or equivalent) 
  • Ideally a marketing degree or working towards CIM qualification.
