Dividends Administrator

Our Dividends Department is seeking an enthusiastic Dividends Administrator to join their team based at Leeds head office.

Reporting to the Dividends Manager the role involves handling the day to day processing of dividends/interest paid for clients.

 Main responsibilities and duties:
  • Processing stock and cash distributions into clients’ accounts as requested within 24 hours of receipt for dividends and corporate actions.
  • Carrying out regular and ad hoc reconciliations as required by Regulatory standards and departmental Management.
  • Assisting with the production and distribution of regular and ad hoc reports/statements to clients in accordance with the company standards, product specifications or client requirements.
  • To use Excel to process dividends, creating and using formulas and macros.
  • Processing multicurrency payments, calculating sterling figures and making payments in all currencies.
  • Supporting Departmental or Senior Management with other tasks as requested.
  • Dealing with Tax queries and payments including Withholding Tax.
  • To update internal records to reflect work in progress.
  • Assisting and providing cover to the Corporate Actions team.
  • Producing ad hoc letters to clients for Corporate Actions.

Desirable skills and experience
  • Basic understanding of stockbroking
  • Ideally 1 year of general office experience
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills and Advanced Excel skills ideally BONY inform, Crest Euroclear UK and Ireland
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work to a tight schedule
  • Flexible and eager to learn and develop new skills within and outside of the department


A Levels (minimum), 5 GCSEs grade A - C or equivalent including Maths and English.
Ideally ICO (Investment Operations Certificate), formerly IAQ, in Asset Servicing.
