Dividends Administrator

Our Dividends Department is seeking an enthusiastic Dividends Administrator to join their team based at Leeds head office.

Reporting to the Dividends Manager, the role involves assisting with the daily reconciliations of client cash and work as part of a team to provide the necessary operational support to the processing of dividends. To provide cover for Corporate Actions when required.
 
Main responsibilities and duties:
  • Carrying out daily reconciliations of holdings and cash arising from events in a timely manner to minimize risk of breach.
  • Processing stock and cash distributions into clients’ accounts as requested within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Providing cover for the daily reconciliations on the Corporate Actions Department when required.
  • Carrying out other ad-hoc reconciliations as required.
  • Controlling daily cash postings to ensure that any control accounts are reconciled each business day.
  • Completing monthly reconciliations accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with FCA regulations.
  • Liaising with others as required to ensure all events are processed correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Updating internal records to reflect work in progress.
  • Producing and distributing regular and ad-hoc letters/reports/statements to clients in accordance with company and regulatory standards, product specification or client requirements.
  • Dealing with telephone and email queries and providing clients with factual and accurate information within regulatory requirements.
  • Assisting and providing cover to the Corporate Actions Department where required.
  • Carrying out other duties as required by Departmental or Senior Management to support the Department or Firm.
  • Reporting any risks which may be detrimental to clients or to the firm’s reputation, which arise from inadequate procedures, systems or data handling.
Desirable skills and experience
  • Two years general office experience, preferably one-year work in the back-office environment of a stockbroker involving reconciliations. Knowledge of Dividends and Corporate Actions would be beneficial.
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Office products focusing on Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Team worker and a strong and confident communicator.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to critically analyse and extract relevant information.
  • Willingness to adapt to changes, flexible to move and learn new skills.
Qualifications
3 A Level grade A-C and 5 GCSE’s grade A-C including Maths and English or equivalent.
