Dividends Administrator

A vacancy has arisen within our Dividends department for a full-time Dividends Administrator.The successful candidate will report to the Dividends Department Manager. The main purpose of the role is to handle the day-to-day processing of dividends/interest paid for clients.

The main tasks of the role are:
  • To process stock and cash distributions into clients’ accounts as requested within 24 hours of receipt for dividends and corporate actions.
  • To carry out regular and Ad hoc reconciliations as required by regulatory standards and departmental management.
  • To produce and distribute regular and ad hoc reports / statements to clients in accordance with company standards, product specifications or client requirements.
  • To use Excel to process dividends, creating and using formulas and macros.
  • To process multicurrency payments, calculating sterling figures and making payments in all currencies.
  • To carry out any other duties as requested by Departmental or Senior Management to support the department or firm.
  • To deal with Tax queries and payments including Withholding Tax.
  • To update internal records to reflect work in progress.
  • To help and provide cover to the Corporate Actions team.
  • To produce ad hoc letters to clients for Corporate Actions.

The successful candidate will have previous experience within an office environment, and a basic knowledge of the stockbroking industry is desirable.

In order to succeed you must have a high level of attention to detail, be able to work as part of a team with the ability to work under pressure, prioritise to meet tight deadlines and be able to learn new tasks quickly. In addition, numeracy skills and the ability to work with Microsoft office is also important. You should also be flexible to move and learn new skills as experience grows.

The role requires the successful candidate must be educated to A Level or equivalent and hold 5 GCSE grades A-C including Maths and English or equivalent. If the qualification criteria cannot be met, other relevant industry experience will be considered.

Hours of work: 9.00am to 5.00pm (35 hours per week)
