Dealing Assistant

A vacancy has arisen in our Leeds Dealing room for a full time Dealing Assistant. 
Reporting to the Dealing Manager, the role involves providing general administration assistance to the Dealing Room.

Further responsibilities include:
  • To provide support to management and stockbrokers with administrative tasks.
  • To provide cover in the shop area and deal face to face with clients and potential clients.
  • To answer general phone calls and handle a variety of customer enquiries, complaints and queries received via phone, email or post.
  • To speak to potential clients and open new accounts.
  • Carry out unit trust dealing, investigate and resolve any resultant queries
  • To provide assistance and cover to the checking team as required.
  • To assist with dealing and allocation of transactions to client accounts.
  • To assist with collating Management Information and distribute as appropriate.
  • To send information to clients.
  • To maintain a ‘TCF’ culture in respect of all the six outcomes
  • To report any risks which may be detrimental to clients or to the firm’s reputation, which arise from inadequate procedures, systems or data handling.
  • To ensure compliance with FCA requirements, the Branch Manual, Code of Conduct policies and T&C framework.

Applicants should possess:
  • A minimum of 1 to 2 years previous experience within an administrative role, preferably within a financial services environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
  • The ability to organise workloads and work unsupervised whilst managing multiple tasks in a pressurised environment.
  • High levels of confidence with an outgoing and friendly manner to work well as part of a team.
  • Good attention to detail and an intermediate level of Microsoft Office knowledge.
Additionally, applicants should hold 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade A-C (or equivalent) and 2 A Levels.

Hours of work: 8.00am to 5.00pm – 40 hours per week.
