Performance and Risk Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Performance and Risk Manager at Redmayne Bentley, one of the UK’s largest independent investment management and stockbroking firms. The role is to be located at either or both our Head Office in Leeds or at our Manchester office.

What you will be doing

Working closely with the Director of Investment Management and the Investment Management Department, you will ensure that the firm meets all first line supervision requirements. Ensuring the firm fulfils the Financial Conduct Authority’s requirements and meets the rules of the Financial Services and the Markets Act.

What you will bring to the team

Managing and overseeing the risk team you will develop and oversee the execution of a Portfolio Risk Monitoring plan (PRMP) ensuring that investment managers are competent under the T&C scheme. 

You will make recommendations, design and develop Portfolio risk policies and procedures and ensure plans and projects align with wider firm targets and meet the prevention strategy. This role does require you to deliver outcomes that are in the best interest of the firm, and this is where your ability to build rapport and influence others will come into its own. 

As you are overseeing and monitoring  investment managers, the role requires an appropriate RDR compliant qualification relating to securities such as the CISI level 4 Investment Advice Diploma or equivalent and/or Compliance qualifications, in addition to good knowledge of financial investments and risk management.
