Investment Operations Administrator

The Investment Management Department is seeking an enthusiastic Investment Operations Administrator to join their team at our Locksbottom office.

Reporting to the Team Manager, the role involves producing probate valuations for offices for the firm, clients and external solicitor firms, and providing necessary support on various processes such as confirmation of holdings, issue of new certificates and sale of shares.
Supporting and assisting clients, covering for colleagues within the Investment Operations department and undertaking general administrative tasks.

Main responsibilities and duties:
  • Carrying out the maintenance of paperwork within the department and keeping an organised and efficient work flow
  • Preparing probate valuations for offices, clients and solicitor firms
  • Communicating with registrars to confirm holdings, new certificates and indemnities, where applicable
  • Carrying out the registration of death and grant of probate as and when required
  • Dealing with probate enquiries & support of follow on sales
  • Maintaining the research database on Equities, Fixed Interest and Collectives and making available to offices and Investment Managers
  • Maintaining the log of Research breaches as required by MiFID II
  • Assisting in the preparation, circulation and administration of placings and IPOs
  • Dealing with new issues from initial enquiry, to application and allocation of shares
  • Collecting and circulating the firm’s various Committee packs and coordinating the adherence to the agreed timelines
  • Providing cover and supporting other members of the Investment Operations team
  • Answering calls from offices/clients in a timely manner and professional manner
  • Assisting with general enquiries, ad-hoc requests and any other additional tasks
Desirable skills and experience
  • Previous experience and interest in stock market and understanding of the different service levels in the firm
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good level of organisational & time management skills
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Office
Qualifications

5 GSCE’S grades A-C including Maths and English or equivalent. Ideally CISI Level 3 IOC or IAQ qualification.
