Investment Manager - Hereford

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Investment Manager based in Hereford, who values autonomy and transparency of earnings, to grow their existing client bank. Our Hereford office is in the heart of the town centre on Bridge Street, and only a short walk from the Cathedral.

About the Hereford Office

The office is responsible for the day-to-day management of advisory and discretionary portfolios, as well as execution-only stockbroking. We ensure that our clients’ specific individual needs are central to the entire investment management process when creating and managing portfolios and adopt a personal approach to investment with regular client contact at the heart of everything we do.

Redmayne Bentley was established in 1875 by bank clerk John Redmayne, whose aim was to provide a first-class service to all his clients. Today the firm is one of the largest independent private client investment management and stockbroking firms in the UK, with over 30 offices nationwide. Redmayne Bentley recently rebranded, and our new visual identity shows that we are proud of our history, and excited for our future.
The Investors in People Standard we hold demonstrates the firm’s commitment to the development of its staff, and our continuing charitable work shows a desire to give back to the local community.

What you will be doing

Supported by our internal research committees, as well as external providers, you will be able to utilise your expertise and knowledge to create, advise upon and manage individually-tailored portfolios that are designed to achieve your client’s investment objectives and timescales. Free from any restrictions to use house models, in-house buy lists or in-house funds, you will be able to create and manage truly bespoke portfolios. This role will also allow you to develop and expand your client network using business development strategies.

What you will bring to the team

A keen eye for detail along with excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on providing outstanding client care. A detailed knowledge of all aspects of investments and stock markets generally. Working closely with clients, you will need to be confident with an outgoing and friendly manner. You will be able to demonstrate good time management skills as well as the ability to work well within a team. The role requires an appropriate RDR compliant qualification relating to securities such as the CISI level 4 Investment Advice Diploma or equivalent.

In return, we offer a competitive total reward package including: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, contributory pension, private medical care, cycle to work scheme, travel loans and gifts at Christmas and Easter.

If you are looking to progress at an award-winning firm that is proud of its history and values its people, please submit your CV along with a covering letter. Alternatively, please call Jackie on 0113 200 6401 for an informal discussion about the role.
