Investment Manager

A vacancy has arisen in our Hereford office for a full time Investment Manager. 

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the role involves handling the day to day management of advisory and discretionary portfolios and day to day dealings. 

Further responsibilities include:
  • To manage Investment portfolios for advisory/discretionary clients in accordance with agreed risk and objectives.
  • To provide a dealing service to clients.
  • To carry out general duties with regard to Investment Management.
  • To carry out media work and investment presentations.
  • To develop new business.
  • To maintain detailed knowledge of all technical procedures in regard to day to day dealing and of all aspects of Investments and Markets.
  • To ensure compliance with FCA requirements, the branch manual, Code of Conduct policies and T&C framework.
  •  To adhere to the Statement of Principles for Approved Persons.
  • To maintain a TCF culture in respect of all the six outcomes.
  • To report any risks which may be detrimental to clients or to the firm’s reputation, which arise from inadequate procedures, systems or data handling.
Applicants should possess:
  • A detailed knowledge of all aspects of investments and the markets generally.
  • Experience of managing investment portfolios on an advisory and discretionary basis.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and provide relevant feedback.
  • High levels of confidence with an outgoing and friendly manner to be able to build client relationships.
  • An up to date valid Statement of Professional Standing and an established client bank.
Additionally, applicants should be CF30 qualified and must hold industry level qualifications 4 e.g. CISI Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma in Securities; Level 6 PCIAM Diploma; CISI Masters (Wealth Management); or hold the equivalent accredited body retail qualification relating to securities.

Hours of work: 8.00am to 5.00pm – 40 hours per week.
