Investment Management Department Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Investment Management Department Manager to join our Investment Management team.  The role is based at the firm’s Leeds Head Office, located in the heart of the city’s financial district, only a few minutes’ walk from Leeds train station.

What you will be doing
You will strategically support the Director of Investment Management with overseeing the Leeds Investment Management department, by implementing the Firm’s business plan, contributing to projects and promote the firm’s values to drive excellence.

What you will bring to the team
You will bring a detailed knowledge of all aspects of investments, including the industry’s standards, regulatory requirements, and portfolio management. You will have the ability to effectively manage and build rapport with your team to provide support, enhance performance and where needed to challenge and provide effective feedback, identifying and implementing any training requirements.  

Be confident in using your initiative, to take responsibility assisting and resolving any complex queries or complaints to maintain an excellent service.

Your past experiences will mean you are able to communicate effectively as a manager but also at all levels across the firm, maintaining a high level of confidentiality, attending committee and project meetings.  
Previous qualifications gained will be at least CISI level 4 Investment Advice Diploma in Securities and ideally level 7, CFA or other equivalently accredited body retail qualification relating to securities/investments. You will also be qualified in or working towards your RDR complaint qualification. Overall, you will excel in being able to provide innovative ideas to improve the function of the Investment Management Department.
