Investment Executive

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Investment Executive to join our Investment Management team based at the firm’s Leeds Head Office in the heart of the city’s financial district, only a few minutes’ walk from Leeds train station.

About the Team
The investment management team is responsible for the day-to-day management of advisory and discretionary portfolios, as well as execution-only stockbroking. We ensure that our clients’ personal objectives are central to the entire investment management process when creating and managing their portfolios. Giving clients the control over the level of involvement they wish to have, providing a personal approach to their investments with regular client contact is at the heart of everything we do.

What you will be doing
You will be reporting to the investment team manager, providing support and assistance to members of the portfolio team. Utilising your knowledge and expertise you will carry out the collation of research for investment ideas and/or written articles. Pitch documents on presentations for existing and potential clients and process trades on behalf of Investment Managers. You will also handle the production and distribution of corporate actions letters for the Investment Managers as well as assisting with general client enquiries, ad-hoc requests.

What you will bring to the team
Your interests will be in economics and the financial services, and you will hold or be due to graduate with an industry relevant degree. You will show a willingness for further professional development, as you will have the opportunity to complete additional training and qualifications to progress and achieve the Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma in Securities and level 7 chartered wealth management qualification.

You will have an analytical approach to your work, with a focus on providing excellent client care and service. An ability to be confident and comfortable when networking in order to build rapport and influence. You will have a good eye for detail, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to demonstrate good time management skills as well as the ability to work well within a team.
