Graduate Investment Administrator (3 month FTC)

Redmayne Bentley are currently seeking recent graduates to join us at our office in Manchester for a three-month fix term placement between October 2020 and 1 January 2021. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Investment Administrator to join our Investment Management team within one of the UK’s largest independent stockbroking and investment management firms.

About the Team
The office is responsible for the day-to-day management of advisory and discretionary portfolios, as well as execution-only stockbroking. We ensure that our clients’ specific individual needs are central to the entire investment management process, when creating and managing portfolios, and adopt a personal approach to investment with regular client contact at the heart of everything we do.

All successful candidates will gain an overview of what it is like to work in the financial industry and the inner workings of an award-winning Investment Management firm.

What you will be doing
Reporting to the Head of Office, the role involves producing probate valuations for offices for the firm, clients and external solicitor firms, and provide necessary support on various processes such as confirmation of holdings, issue of new certificates and sale of shares. To provide support and assistance to and clients, by assisting and covering for colleagues within the Investment Operations department and undertaking general administrative tasks.

What you will bring to the team
You will be enthusiastic and sociable, which will assist in building relationships with both the clients and colleagues in the firm. Possess the ability to learn new systems and show understanding around regulations within the role; whilst having the drive to develop further within the business.

You’ll have good organisation skills, a keen eye for detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to proactively resolve issues; whilst working under pressure to tight deadlines.  Furthermore, you will be comfortable in taking the initiative and showing responsibility within your day to day role.

Applicants should be studying for a related degree and have previous experience of working within a team. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and general technological confidence is also a must. Academic qualification requirements are 3 A Levels at grade A-C and 5 GCSEs including Maths and English at grades A-C or equivalent. Applications will be reviewed after the closing date.
