Fitch affirms British Airways 2013-1 EETC ratings

18 April 2017 08:15

Fitch Ratings has affirmed the ratings on the certificates issued by British Airways Pass Through Trust Series 2013-1.

The class A certificates are affirmed at'A'and the class B certificates at 'BBB+'

Fitch said the review of BA's EETC (Enhanced Equipment Trust Certificates) ratings followed the agency's recent decision to upgrade BA's long-term issuer default rating (IDR) to 'BBB-' from 'BB+'.

Fitch said the affirmation of the senior tranches reflected its top-down methodology, which relied primarily on collateral value and where the credit quality of the airline was a secondary factor.
