29 March 2017 07:30

Sanne Group has reported a five-fold lift in FY pretax profit to £15.0m, up 525% from £2.4m previously, in what it described as a transformational year for the company.

Its revenue spiked 40% to £63.8m, from £45.6m. Total dividend was 9.6p a share, up from 7.0p.

CEO Dean Godwin said 2016 was a transformational year for Sanne.

"We have continued to deliver strong organic growth with good performances across the business, particularly in our core alternative asset-focused divisions," he said.

The had also made several strategic acquisitions in the year that had built out its global platform.

"Significantly, not only have these added additional capability such as a Hedge offering, but they give us meaningful scale in exciting new regions such as North America, one of the world's largest and fastest growing markets," said Godwin in a statement.

"These new geographic and service capabilities provide the Group with even more opportunities for growth."

Looking ahead, Godwin said Sanne was positive.

"The momentum in our core divisions, new market opportunities, strengthened operational structure and the attractive underlying trends in all our markets give us confidence in delivering continued growth."
