Hindustan's earnings on the rise

Hindustan Zinc, a subsidiary of Vedanta Resources, has reported earnings (EBITDA) of Rs. 2,757 Crore for the third quarter ended 31 December, representing an increase of 33% from the previous quarter.

Mined metal production was up 44% at 276kt in Q3, while integrated metal production also increased quarter-on-quarter, with zinc up 38%, lead up 26% and silver up 10%.
