JPMorgan Asian IT declares dividend

06 January 2017 08:45

JPMorgan Asian Investment Trust's board has declared a dividend of 3.0 pence per share.

The dividend, subject to shareholder approval at the annual general meeting on 2 February, will be paid on 6 February to shareholders on the register at the close of business on 13 January.

As previously announced to shareholders on 21 December, the board is proposing a new dividend policy under which it aims to pay, in the absence of unforeseen circumstances, a regular quarterly dividend equivalent to 1% of the company's NAV on the last business day of each financial quarter, being the end of December, March, June and September.

This dividend will be paid from a combination of the revenue and capital reserves.

The board will propose a resolution at the AGM to amend the company's articles of association to allow the company to distribute capital as dividends, to allow for the long-term implementation of the new dividend policy.
