Nanoco in commercial discussions for CFQD film

15 December 2016 10:52

Chairman Dr Chris Richards of cadmium-free quantum dots technology developer Nanoco reported commercial discussions were ongoing with various Asian TV makers for the use of Nanoco's CFQD Fine Color film.

He said partner Wah Hong 'decided to bring forward by 12 months its planned investment in a further film coating production line.'

Richards commented: "We continued to benefit from our decision to adopt a non-exclusive strategy in the display market. "Wah Hong is manufacturing film under Nanoco's CFQD Fine Color film brand and supplying the film to potential customers for televisions of up to a 60in screen size.

"Based on high market demand and rapid progress to date, Wah Hong decided to bring forward by 12 months its planned investment in a further film coating production line.

"The new line is expected to be operational by the second quarter of calendar year 2017 and will allow Wah Hong to supply film for display screens of up to 100in.

"Nanoco's improved production process for green CFQs, which significantly increased quality and yield at our Runcorn production facility, was successfully transferred to Dow Chemical, which is making good progress in customer sampling under the TREVISTA quantum dot brand."

At 10:52am: (LON:NANO) Nanoco Group PLC share price was +3.38p at 46.13p
