Trinity Mirror bid to appeal phone hacking judgement refused

23 March 2016 14:16

The Supreme Court has refused Trinity Mirror's application to appeal the Court of Appeal's judgement over claims arising from phone hacking.

Trinity Mirror says it has been resolving claims throughout the legal process and it will continue to make efforts to resolve all legitimate claims.

But it says there remains ongoing uncertainty in relation to how matters will progress.

It says: "At this stage we believe there is no change to the provisions previously made in relation to resolving civil claims arising from phone hacking. Further updates will be made if our estimate of the financial exposure was to materially change."

At 2:16pm: (LON:TNI) Trinity Mirror PLC share price was -3.62p at 129.38p
