Schroder AsiaPacific chairman retires

Schroder AsiaPacific Fund chairman Rupert Carington has retired from the board and did not seek re-election at the annual general meeting earlier today.

The board thanked him for his invaluable contribution to the company over the last 20 years.

Nicholas Smith, who joined the board in May 2010 and was appointed senior independent director in April 2012, will succeed him as chairman.

The company confirmed that all resolutions proposed at the AGM were passed. At 3:59pm: (LON:SDP) Schroder Asiapacific Fund Plc share price was -0.12p at 247.88p
