New City High Yield NAV falls

New City High Yield Fund's net asset value fell by 2.1% in the six months to the end of December on a total return basis.

The company said its primary investment focus is to provide shareholders with a high dividend yield, and while its net asset value decreased by 5.8% to 58.8 pence during the period, the dividend increased by 3.3.

The share price decreased by 1.7% during the period, giving a share price total return of 2.1%. The share price stood at a premium of 9.1% to net asset value at 31 December.
