Launch of CF Woodford Income Focus Fund

23 March 2017

Woodford Investment Management is launching the CF Woodford Income Focus Fund, expected to be the last fund to be managed by Neil Woodford.

The Fund is the third to be launched by the star fund manager and founding partner of Woodford Investment Management. Structured as an Open Ended Investment Company (OEIC), it aims to provide a high level of income along with capital growth, and will seek to provide an income of 5p per share, per annum, once it is up and running.

Unlike his previous two funds, the CF Woodford Income Focus Fund will not offer exposure to unquoted securities. It will invest mainly in UK and overseas-listed companies with a focus on investments which provide dividend income. The Fund will be benchmarked against the FTSE All-Share. Please note, there is no guarantee of the Fund achieving a specific level of dividend or yield over any given time period.

Mr Woodford set up his existing CF Woodford Equity Income Fund in 2014 after leaving Invesco Perpetual, as well as the Woodford Patient Capital investment trust, which invests in both listed and unquoted businesses with a long-term time horizon.
