For instance a portfolio can be constructed to provide regular redemptions to pay for school fees or high levels of income to supplement a pension, or an increased risk profile to try and achieve higher levels of capital growth for when it may be needed in future years.

• Your investments will be managed by a qualified investment manager.
• The portfolio is managed according to your own objectives and risk profile.
• The investment manager can take into account any sectors you do not wish to be invested in, such as armaments or tobacco.
• Investments will be made on a timely basis - there is no time lag between the decision to invest being made and the action being taken as there can be with the advisory service.
• A full valuation and review is provided every six months or more frequently to suit your preferences.
• You can view your portfolio online using our client web access system.
• You will have direct contact with your investment manager and can discuss any questions you have with them.
• When establishing a new portfolio we will be happy to meet with you in person.
• Stock held in our nominee name removes the risk of losing important paperwork.

Shares can go down as well as up.

• A fee of 0.85% of the value of the portfolio, plus VAT, will be charged in advance. Further charges may be levied and paid to your authorised professional adviser where agreed by you.
• Minimum fee levels may apply.
