Do you thrive on change and want a head start on the career ladder? Do you wish to have a career in Stockbroking? Well if so, a one year student placement at Redmayne-Bentley may just be what you're looking for...
You will be working for one of the UK's largest Private Client Stockbrokers which will involve theoretical learning combined with invaluable hands on work experience. The year provides the perfect opportunity to learn from the people around you within the industry.
There will be a wide area for you to work within providing the opportunity to gain a vast amount of experience and knowledge within the sector.
Your time at Redmayne-Bentley will be split into ten week periods within a variety of departments across the firm. Following each ten week period you will be assessed by your managers and this information will be used for feedback for your placement tutor who will visit you throughout your placement.
Throughout the year there will be a lot of information to take in and a lot of responsibility to take on. You will be required to become a key part of the company and hold this role within a professional industry. The year will provide you with the foundations to make a real mark within the finance industry, particularly private client stockbroking. We want you to go on and make a successful career and if you have a successful year with us there may be the possibility of you returning to us on a permanent basis.
We invest in our placement students and in turn expect hard work from you. While essentially the placement is a year in industry there will also be some academic study for you to undertake. The exam that you will sit whilst with us will be the first module of the Investment Advice Diploma.
This exam will be paid for by the company and will give you a firm understanding of the regulations and legislation that underpin the financial markets.
We are now accepting applications for the 2012/2013 student placements.
The Closing Date is: Friday 17th February 2012.
The placement is for a full year, and we expect you to put your first year results on your CV as this is part of the criteria we use in our interviewing process.
